Forget about what I said in the last post on being pear-shaped. Then again, don’t. If you think you’re shaped like a pear, why don’t you strip yourself down naked and have another look at yourself in the mirror. Chances are good that you’re much closer to being the perfectly shaped woman. Women are naturally more rounded at the hips in any case. But if you’ve been heaving, huffing and puffing lately, then maybe it’s because of those love handles you’ve accumulated around the stomach area. That is not good. It’s usually an accumulation of excess fat that the men in our lives pack around them, and it’s usually because they have been physically inactive for a number of years and have been eating junk which is bad for them.
The same goes for those overweight women who now have those same excess accumulations around the abdomen area. It’s time to get rid of it. It’s not looking good and it’s highly uncomfortable, especially when you find yourselves no longer being able to squeeze into your favorite designer numbers that you spent a fortune on. So, today I thought I’d introduce you to the weird and wacky but absolutely wonderful world of smoothies for weight loss. I also thought I’d have a go at all the other essentials, food and otherwise, that you’ll not only need to lose weight but get back into shape, pear-shaped or not, and healthy again.
I’m also going to need to have a chat with you about the need to exercise and always be physically active in order to keep your shape and to stay light on your feet. Because if you go back to sitting on the couch after your first smoothie, green-leafed salad and pretty much nothing else, you’re going to be so low key in the energy department, you might not even want to get up in the morning. That would be a real bummer. You need to realize right from the get go that whether you’re drinking a smoothie for breakfast or dieting across the board to lose weight, there are important factors, such as enriching yourself with protein, to keep off the pounds and look after your new health and fitness requirements.
Smoothies with pears
Let’s say this for a joke. I’ve been using the delicious naturally sugared pear as a delightful metaphor to describe women’s moods and feelings regarding their shape and size. I’ve been trying to melt them out of that vain habit of preoccupation and get them to focus on how they should really be feeling inside. That being said, placing pears, apples, berries and all the citrus fruits under the rainbow in your smashing new blender, all help bust the weight down to acceptable levels. Then there’s the all time champion of healthy eating, smoother skin and weight loss; the avocado pear. It’s got healthy fats in it and it fills you up a lot better than a bag of crisps would, taking away your body’s desires to crave for more food.
Green smoothie concept
Let’s have a bit more fun with smoothies while we’re at it. Let’s work with colors. In this case, we’re going purely and wholly green. The avocado pear is a designated fruit, but it’s also richly green. To give yourself that much more oomph in the protein department, you need to add a variety of green veggies to your blender as well. I’m not just talking about the leafy greens that make up those fine Greek and French salads. Here I’m talking about all those green vegetables that we used to hate when we were kids. Here I’m talking about the powerful broccoli and the rich family of beans, especially the green bean. Put that in your smoothie maker and blend it.
Don’t forget all the other healthy chow
Forget about losing weight by just drinking smoothies every day. All nonsense is what I say. Listen to what I’m saying; eat lots of vegetables, that means eat, not drink, your veggies. Its roughage provides you with fiber. Don’t believe a word about having to give up meat because you’re now dieting. In fact, you’ll be greatly encouraged. But this time, you’ll be going for fat free, farm fresh poultry and fish with lots of healthy fats added to it.
And don’t forget the exercise
One of the best things about regular exercise is that you’re putting your body in a healthy pickle. In the beginning, because it’s been so used to sitting on its bum all this time, it might not be so keen on the need to exercise. But, and this is a big, positive but, the more the human body becomes accustomed to regular exercise, the hungrier it seems to get. It’s called building up a healthy appetite which means you get to enjoy regular meals after all. It’s a whole lot better than having to starve yourself, not so.
