Hi guys! Welcome, welcome, welcome. While this is a very serious issue I’m raising with you guys today, I want you all to just relax. The moment we all start stressing is when things tend to go all pear-shaped. Health and fitness issues facing women today is no laughing matter but I can laugh at those women who hate being what they call pear-shaped. I can’t see why this issue of how the body is shaped should be a problem. More important to me is the matter of being healthy and fit one time.
Stop being vain
One big reason why so many women truly fail to become completely healthy is that they are too focused on how they look and on how others, especially the men, perceive them. When that happens, their dieting and exercising plans go all pear-shaped. In a desperate bid to lose weight, they ignore important food groups such as protein and those containing healthy fats. Salads are all good, fine and dandy, containing next to no fat at all, but on its own, don’t do the dieting woman’s health any good.
Stress is known as a silent killer, and it seems to be affecting more and more women today. This has got to do with the pressures of life, certainly, but a lot of the pressure on their shoulders is caused by the women themselves. While busy housewives have their own typical issues, let us not forget the single, overweight woman who, depressed witless, tries in vain to comfort herself with junk food on her couch that end up leaving her full for a while but more empty, emotionally and physiologically speaking, by the time the next day arrives.
Learn to say no
Part of the reason why many women struggle so much in life, no matter what their cultural or socio-economic circumstances, is that they just can’t stop and say no. they are too eager to want to please others in order to be liked and loved a little bit more. Healthy exercise regimes and time spent outdoors over weekends, alone or with likeminded friends becomes indicative of the proverbial ‘me time’. It is also a new thing to practice learning to say no to the body that might still be craving helpings from the ice cream tub or pizza hut.
Look after yourself first
Where women’s health and fitness is concerned, so much more can be achieved in life if those women who need to radically overhaul their lives for the better learn to look after their personal circumstances and health interests before moving on to others. Health and fitness is great in getting women to be more accepting of themselves, but a path to complete wellness should also be embarked upon. This will include addressing spiritual and financial needs. Spiritually, women become more at peace with themselves. Financially, this is obvious, women can free themselves of unnecessary expenses and learn to budget well and then go on to prioritize worthwhile expenses such as savings and investments for future healthy endeavors, such as children’s university fees and a trip abroad.
